Released in 2001 under Universal Music Group, Black Trash: The Autobiography of Kirk Jones was a critical success earning a four star review in The Source and being listed by Vibe Magazine as one of the top 20 albums every hip hop fan should own. Spawning two singles (one used in the Chris Rock film Down To Earth), the surreal imagery was nothing new to Sticky as seen in his previous works with Onyx. But Sticky managed to take it one step further and create an audio "movie" for the entire LP.
